Occupational First Aid course: This 3-day FETAC level 5 course will be run on the following dates:
Next course 20-22nd February 2013.
Cost 250 euro per person. (200 euro for candidates who are in receipt of unemployment assistance)
Occupational First Aid Refresher course: This one-day course will take place on the following dates
16th of january, 25th january, 13th February.
Cost 105 euro per person (85 euro for candidates who are in receipt of unemployment assistance/Full time students).
“Heartsaver” Public CPR/Defibrillator course: This Irish Heart Foundation/American Heart Association course will cover CPR and choking in adults, children and infants. It will also cover use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This 3 hour course will be held in Blanchardstown on February 20th and March 6th 10am-1pm. Cost 65 euro. If the date doesn’t suit you, drop us a line and if the training centre is available on a day that suits you, we can run a private course just for you for only 120 euro!
BLS for Healthcare Providers: This course is suitable for all healthcare providers, especially doctors, nurses, advanced paramedics, paramedics, EMTs, physiotherapists, dentists, ODPs and healthcare assistants. It includes CPR and defibrillator use in adults, children and infants, Choking in adults, children and infants, bag-mask ventilation, pocket mask use and 2-rescuer resuscitation. Next course: February 19th and March 7th. Cost 105 euro. We also offer private classes, where you can pick the time and date (subject to classroom availibility) and we’ll teach a one-on-one class. This costs 160 euro. All successful candidates will receive and Irish Heart Foundation/American Heart Association provider card.
ECG and Rhythm Analysis Workshop: This course is suitable for EMTs, paramedics, nurses and other healthcare professionals and students. It is run by a doctor and an advanced paramedic and covers a variety of topics such as 1) Anatomy and Physiology of the heart and conduction 2) How to read an ECG 3) How to apply and troubleshoot the ECG 4) Arrhythmia recognition..specifically AF, Atrial Flutter, VT, SVT, VF, Asystole 5) Conduction problems, such as heart block and bundle branch block 6) Ischaemic changes. 7) The clinical picture associated with each presentation and how to assess whether the patient is stable or unstable.
The workshop will focus mostly on 12-lead ECG skills through scenario based leaning. At our last ECG course we had EMTs from the voluntary organisations and the private sector, HSE paramedics from around the country and a doctor, so this course has broad appeal.
Class size will be limited to 16 and will take place in Blanchardstown, Dublin on Saturday November 10th from 9am-4pm. Duration is approximately 7 hours. Cost is 85 Euro per person. Discounts for group bookings. This course is accredited by An Bord Altranais for CPD purposes.
